Nicole Jekich is an up-and-coming artist and blogger from Seattle, and she’s won in all of our Stat & Art contests. After weeks of begging and pleading she has graciously agreed to share her talent with us in a new biweekly segment called Tuesdays with Nicole. In this segment, she’ll take an item, character, NPC, monster, scene, or encounter and bring it to life with her art! How will she do this? See for yourself!
Interested in having your content showcased by Nicole? Leave a comment here, or message calabacita with a link and a brief message on why you think she should sketch it!

Obsidian Portal is the award winning Online Campaign Management System for tabletop role-playing games. It’s free to use, it can be accessed from any web browser and it's built from the ground up for gamers by gamers.
We host a huge community of tabletop RPG players who are all looking to get the most out of their tabletop gaming experience. You play your campaign and we help you manage it. It’s that simple.
This is awesome! While I don’t have a SPECIFIC thing that I think would be neat, my campaign setting is littered with potential artistic opportunities; often I have lamented my own inability to drawn out the things I describe in prose. I will take this juncture to post what is perhaps my current favorite campaign-element, that being an ancient ballad concerning the defeat of the Trolls — maybe there’s something in there worth sketching?

I don’t have anything I want sketched yet… not posted into OP at least, but I fully endorse this segment and will be waiting with anticipation weekly for your new segments.
keep up the great work Nicole.

Very cool. I hope this feature continues and grows, because this could quickly become the best part about my Tuesdays!

Making art is like alchemy to me. I see what’s happening, but its completely foreign and astounding to me. I tip my hat to any and all that have artistic talent out there.

Great! Thanks for the all feedback! I too am excited to see how this segment grows and just like OP, I would love to hear more of what people want to hear about the campaign, subject being drawn, my illustration process and anything else.
I’ll also check out your favorite campaign element, Idabrius, as this will be a long-running video blog and I need lots of content. Also I love reading through other people’s adventures: always helps spark creative ideas and such

Wow, I’m really happy at how my Broodmother looks after you drew it! The eyes and the drool are really menacing! Hmm, now if it only had more color and an ATOMIC FLAME ATTACK!!
^___^

My humble thanks! I have a great need for art to help flesh out my setting; even if you don’t think there’s anything there that you’d want to sketch, I’m just glad to have my work perused!

A run my players totally botched, a troll with a claymore, and a couple of human street sams (one who looks kinda like Beach Head) are hired to extract a Mall Santa from a massive indoor mall Christmas village. They were totally subdued by 12 dwarfs with fake elf ears and pointy shoes, using stun batons painted like candy canes.

Oh geez, I wish Christmas at the mall was that crazy! That sounds like an awesome scene to draw!
Oh and also, these videos are bi-weekly not every Tuesday. Sorry all. In the future, it might be every week. My goal is to also create finished illustrations of the pieces for the authors (and other users that may have a similar use for the image) who can upload them to OP or show them to their gaming group. Hmmmm…or maybe I should just save a copy of the image with just lines and everyone would be free to add their own color combo.

Haha, it was awfully fun to describe. They had to leave Seattle afterward due to increased police interest in their activities… I’m looking forward to seeing all of your stuff. I love RPG related artwork.

Since I want to focus my illustrations towards fantasy art for RPGs, CCGs and other such work, I’m more than happy to dedicate my time to Obsidian Portal
And I’ll definitely check out your site Uruzrune.
Stay tuned everyone, the next one will debut on Tue. May 18th and whew, it’s a bit more complicated than the Broodmother.

I would love to see the primary villain of my campaign illustrated. I looked for an painting or portrait that would fit him but could never really find anything that I really liked. His story can be found here:
