If you read our blog or follow the podcast, then you’re the core of the core of the core of the Obsidian Portal community. We want to give you all a little extra insight into our plans and thoughts for the coming Kickstarter.
Drew, our awesome designer, will be making t-shirts for a backer reward, and here’s a sneak peek of his design. It’s only a rough draft at this point, but you get the idea. It’s going to be sweet!
We’re aiming to launch the campaign on March 25, and there will be some special limited backer rewards, so be ready to pledge. Make sure to keep an eye on the blog, the podcast, Facebook, and Twitter for more details!

cool picture! I like the D20. The only criticism is the hammer, it looks like it’s at a weird angle and his hand should be at the bottom of the handle, not in the middle.
Yup. Loosen up the choke on that hammer, you’ls get a more convincing “impending strike” feel. Put the goggles over his eyes; that’s what they’re for, protection, so put them to use when you’re smithing! Also, having them that high up when they read as eyes gives the face a weirdly elongated distortion. It looks misproportioned. Also, for consistency’s sake, gloves on both hands. As a metalworker I can tell you that it’s practical, absorbs shock from the hammer strike and makes sense when you’re moving back and forth from anvil to forge.
Looks pretty boss to me! Can’t wait to see this kickstarter get off the ground!
Take my money, please! I can’t support this Kickstarter enough. OP has really enhanced our gaming experience. Looking forward to contributing!
