OP Needs You!
Convention season is right around the corner, and we’re excited to get out to all the cons and spread the word about Obsidian Portal. Luckily we have a steadfast group of folks we like to call Emissaries who help us spread the word when they go to cons that we don’t get to. The problem is, we need more of them!
Just in case you didn’t know, the Emissary program has been going strong since 2010, bringing light to the savages and showing them the ways of proper campaign management with Obsidian Portal!
More Than Just D&D
Formerly known as DDXP, this year’s convention in Ft. Wayne Indiana will take on an exciting new shape known as Winter Fantasy. While the name and concept of Winter Fantasy isn’t exactly new, the show is going back to its roots and focusing on more things than just Dungeons & Dragons.
The expansions to the show this year include are exciting and we’ll be sure to let you know as all the details develop. So far they include:
The biggest DDXP yet is coming in just about a week, and Obsidian Portal will be there to cover it all! Well, we’ll be there covering whatever we’re allowed to being as that there will be NDA’s involved, but rest assured we will try and get you as much juicy info on the next iteration of Dungeons & Dragons as possible.
Haste – Episode 13: Co-hosted with Carl Bussler of Flagons & Dragons. Cthulhu, D&D Rubbish and GM Merit Badges!
Outro: “Stand ALone” ~ LukHash
In this episode I give Micah a well deserved day off and hang out with the very cool Carl Bussler, of the exquisite (and ENnie nominated) Flagons & Dragons podcast. After listening to Haste, immediately go listen to one of their shows – these guys know gaming and they know beer too! Carl tells us what’s coming up on their podcast, including Zombie Month: wherein misadventures in hacking up pumpkins with ZombieTools and much more shall ensue all month long! In other news I should remind you that the Fiasco contest ends TOMORROW (8/30)!
The Dungeons and Dragons Experience is right around the corner, and although I’ll be there to get in on all the exciting new announcements, products and seminars to provide you all with a post show wrap up, I’d like to do something a little more than that. If there is interest enough, I’d like to take it a step further and add some moment-by-moment excitement for those of you unable to attend, by live blogging one of the panels.
