Winner for best ‘How I Got Into RPG’s’ contest is Tallyrand with his story of transformation from the uncool jock into the super-cool uber gamer. Here it is:
I was a jock in high school, so needless to say I was teased mercilessly by the ‘cool’ kids in the gaming club. That is until the GM of the local group made a bet that he could get the coolest girl in school (Gary Gygax was her uncle) to ask me out. He taught me the slang, helped me pick out some nerdy tee-shirts, and ran me through drill after drill of dungeon mastering until finally he let me DM The Temple of Elemental Evil the week before prom. When her character was the only one to survive the 1st room she fell for me and asked me right there at the table. I realized then then I was cool all along, I just needed to believe in myself.

Live from DDXP 2012
Once the seminars begin we will be live blogging coverage via google docs! Each seminar will get it’s own seperate google doc and links are provided below, as well as videos of each seminar and our quick Expeditious Interviews! Enjoy!
Also, please keep in mind that the text transcripts will need some cleaning up as they are full of typos and contain areas where I just couldn’t keep up with the dialogue, and also please take it all in knowing it is not all 100% verbatim ( can only type so fast, also my brain can. I will provide links to video’s of each seminar that DO give the verbatim dialogue at a rate as fast as hotel Wi-Fi can give us.

The biggest DDXP yet is coming in just about a week, and Obsidian Portal will be there to cover it all! Well, we’ll be there covering whatever we’re allowed to being as that there will be NDA’s involved, but rest assured we will try and get you as much juicy info on the next iteration of Dungeons & Dragons as possible.

Live from DDXP: “Expert Dungeon Mastering”
Here I am at DDXP and bringing to you as fast as my fingers can type, live updates from the Expert Dungeon Mastering. We know that the D&D VT won but being that DM’ing (GM’ing) is a universal language to players of all RPG’s it just seems like a better fit.
