Weekly Update – February 28, 2019

Hey there gang! I’ve got a fair amount of stuff to cover in this week’s update, so I’ll try to be concise yet thorough. We had fixes, tweaks, and a bit of getting back on track to things that had to be put on hold due to the onset of the infrastructure issues.

Here goes:

Infrastructure Rollout and Social Sign-in Updates

Following up on the heels of our weekly update post for February 21, the rollout to production of the new and updated infrastructure has arrived. The switchover occurred at roughly 8am EST this morning and monitoring is ongoing at this time. We also made the two social sign-in changes that were discussed (updating the via Facebook protocols and replacing Google+ with Google).

Absences Excused: How to Explain Vanishing Characters

Real life is chaos. We fake being organized and we pretend that we’re in control, but no one actually lives that way (do they?). And in spite of all our valiant efforts – sometimes the worst comes to pass. Dread it. Run from it. Sometimes, a player has to skip game night. But how do you explain away the sudden disappearance of Chestgirth, barbarian lord of Clan Bicep? Read on and master the art of vanishing a character who’s player can’t attend.

Who do you love?

It’s Valentine’s Day (at least for a few more hours), so what better time to get you to express your love for the campaign you believe should be Campaign of the Year for 2018! Also in the spirit of love, we’re taking this opportunity to right the tremendous wrong from last year, when the hard working GMs and players of the 2017 Campaign of the Month roster were denied their Campaign of the Year vote. That’s right, this year’s CotY voting is a double header.

We simply couldn’t bear the thought of letting another day go by without getting our beloved featured campaign program back up to speed, and our winners determined. So please, join us in casting a vote for both the 2017 and 2018 Campaigns of the Year.
